Why Are Children and Young People So Important To Us?

Children and Young People (C&YP) are part of the church of the present and our future and Church is at its best when it includes all ages from new born to the very elderly.

As such, we delight in the number of C&YP who come regularly to St Matthew’s and our  groups are set up to ensure that they know they are full members of the church from their earliest days.  We practice child baptism (or christening – it’s the same thing) so that, ideally, no child can ever remember a time when they were not part of God’s family.  They are full members of our church and we celebrate that!
